Take a look at our recent activities in math class! :)
Students worked with a partner to create their own multiplication problems. They took turns rolling dice. The numbers rolled were used as their factors. Partner groups then worked together to draw out the problem and solve for their product. We love working together!! :)
Students used their new knowledge or multiplication and arrays to create "array buildings." This hands on activity was super fun and we create such a beautiful display for the school!
On Friday we played a game called "Scoot." A scoot game is where students take turns at different stations solving problems. They move from problem to problem after a period of time. In this scoot game students were working on multiplication and division word problems. LOOK AT THE CONCENTRATION ON THE FACES OF THESE GIRLS!!! :) We are working HARD in this 3rd grade class!!!
